Welcome to Focus Three. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Focus Three mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using Focus Three, you agree to these Terms.
Important: These terms are designed to be fair and straightforward. We built Focus Three to help you be productive, not to trap you in confusing legal language.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Focus Three, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Focus Three is a productivity application that helps you:
Manage up to 3 active tasks at a time
Track completed tasks in a timeline
Access productivity suggestions when you need inspiration
Export and back up your data at any time
2.1 Local-Only, Offline-First Design
Focus Three is local-only. Your tasks are stored solely on your device, and the app works completely offline once you have an active subscription. There is no cloud sync. To move your data to another device, use the export and "Restore from backup" tools in Settings.
3. No Accounts
3.1 No Sign-In Required
Focus Three has no user accounts and no sign-in
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
Your subscription is tied to your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account, not to an account with us
3.2 Restoring Purchases
Use "Restore Purchases" in Settings to recover your subscription on a new device
This requires being signed in to the same App Store or Play Store account used for the original purchase
4. Subscriptions and Payments
4.1 Free Trial
New users may receive a free trial period (typically 7 days)
You can cancel anytime during the trial without being charged
If you don't cancel, your subscription will start automatically
4.2 Subscription Plans
Focus Three offers the following subscription options:
Monthly Subscription - Billed every month
Annual Subscription - Billed once per year (discounted rate)
4.3 Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store
Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel before the renewal date
Prices are shown in your local currency in the app store
We do not have access to your payment information
4.4 Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription anytime through your App Store or Play Store account
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
You'll continue to have access until the end of the paid period
No refunds for partial periods
4.5 Refunds
Refund requests must be made through Apple or Google (we don't control this)
You agree to use Focus Three only for lawful purposes. You must NOT:
Attempt to hack, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service
Use the Service to store illegal content
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
Use automated tools to create or manage tasks (bot activity)
Abuse our support channels or services
6. Your Content
6.1 Ownership
You retain all rights to the content you create in Focus Three (your tasks and data). We don't claim ownership of your tasks.
6.2 Your Data Stays With You
Your tasks are stored only on your device. We do not store, sync, or have access to your task content, so you do not need to grant us any license to it.
6.3 Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your content. We don't review, monitor, or control the content you create in the app.
7. Data and Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.
7.1 Data Backup
While we strive for reliability, we recommend regularly exporting your data
We are not responsible for data loss due to technical failures
You can export your data anytime from the Settings screen
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Our Rights
Focus Three, including its design, code, graphics, and branding, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights reserved.
8.2 Trademarks
"Focus Three" and associated logos are trademarks. You may not use them without our written permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Focus Three is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
The results from using the Service will meet your requirements
Any errors will be corrected
Translation: We work hard to make Focus Three reliable, but we can't guarantee perfection. Use the app at your own risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
Damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service
Our total liability to you for all claims will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $50 if you haven't paid anything).
11. Changes to the Service
We may update, modify, or discontinue Focus Three (or any part of it) at any time. We'll try to notify you of significant changes, but we're not obligated to do so.
11.1 Service Availability
The app works offline on your device once you have an active subscription
An internet connection is needed only to purchase, validate, or restore your subscription
12. Termination
12.1 By You
You can stop using Focus Three anytime by:
Canceling your subscription through the App Store or Play Store
Uninstalling the app from your device, which permanently deletes all of your local data
12.2 By Us
We may revoke your access to the Service if you:
Violate these Terms
Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
Abuse the Service or our support team
We'll try to give you notice before revoking access, unless there's a serious violation.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:
We'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top
For material changes, we'll notify you via email or in-app message
Continued use of the Service means you accept the new Terms
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Finland.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Focus Three regarding the Service.
